Taskbar is an important part of Microsoft’s operating system and it exhibits apps, icons and notifications through which you can directly access them at no point of time. In Windows 10, in particular, the Taskbar comes with many features and can be customized very easily.

Here are 4 tips for customizing the Windows 10 Taskbar. Let’s check out now!

If you want your items to be arranged in your way, you can customize the Windows 10 Taskbar to make it look and handle exactly how you want it.

1. Pin programs to Windows 10 Taskbar

There may be some programs that you access on a daily basis, so you can pin them directly to the Windows 10 Taskbar for quicker access. To do this, you open the Start menu and search for the program you want to pin. Then you right-click it on its icon and choose Pin to taskbar.

2. Make it colorful

The Windows 10 Taskbar is black by default. However, you can change its color to make it more colorful. To do this, you open the Settings app by pressing Win Key + I. There you click Personalization and choose Colors from the left-pane to see various settings on the right. Then you activate the “Show color on Start, taskbar, action center, and title bar” option. Now you will see a number of tiles, choose one and set it as the color for your Taskbar.

3. Auto-hide the taskbar automatically

To automatically hide the taskbar in Windows 10, you right-click on the Taskbar and choose Properties. Then you check the box Auto-hide the Taskbar and click Apply. That’s it! If you don’t select this option, your Windows 10 Taskbar will be obviously visible on your screen.

4. Customize the Search Box

The Search Box can be used to search your apps, the web, your files and settings, as well as access Cortana. Options for customizing it consist of showing the Search Box by default, minimizing the Search Box to an icon, or getting rid of the Search Box completely. To do this, you right-click the Taskbar, choose Search and then select from three options: Hidden, Show search icon, and Show search box.
