Microsoft’s latest operating system Windows 10 comes with a wide range of new features and one of them is the new Share button. With the Share button, now you can share files directly from the File Explorer to social platforms or to someone using e-mail. Files that can be shared include pictures, documents, videos and more things. If you are browsing through your pictures in File Explorer and you see a beautiful one that you absolutely must post to Instagram or Facebook right now, here is how to do it. It is very simple and just takes you some minutes to finish. Let’s check out now!

Step 1: Find the file/document you want to share
In the first step, you click on the yellow folder icon on your taskbar to open up the Windows 10 File Explorer. Then you navigate to the file/document you want to share and click on it.

Step 2: Open the Sharing menu
In the second step, you tap on the Share tab on the ribbon at the top of your screen, which will open a new menu tab. Now, there are different options available to you, depending on what type of file you’ve chosen.

Step 3: Click the Share button
The next step is clicking the Share button to open up the Share sidebar.

Step 4: Choose the platform you want to share your file with
There are a list of apps you can share your file with in the Share sidebar. Depending on the file type you want to share, some apps may not show up. For example, if you are sharing a Zip file, only Mail app will show while Facebook and Twitter won’t.

Step 5: Configure your Sharing options
In the last step, you go to the Settings menu. Then you click on System and open the Share tab. You can toggle the frequently used apps list on and off here.
